Eureka is a secluded, quiet, artsy hideaway with an elegant private studio and comfortable living quarters. It is surrounded by farms, forests, lakes, and fresh air. We offer affordable lodging for travelers, residencies for artists, studio rentals, and private instruction. We can accommodate small groups or individuals wanting to retreat from the outside world. Our venue is a great space to focus on projects, rest and relax, or use as a base for exploring southern Maine. More About Eureka... We are a comfortable distance away from the touristy areas but not too far from some of the most picturesque destinations in the state. The mountains, the coast, the lakes, and Portland's downtown are all equal distances away. We are near historic Paris Hill and White Mountain National Forest and about an hour's drive from Portland. Maps and Directions... Photos: (Left to Right) The view from the peak of Mt. Streaked, local grass fed beef, abundant wildlife, and Lake Norway. |

Year round, there are many interesting, down-to-earth, affordable things to see and do in the area. In addition to enjoying our retreat, we recommend visiting some of the less explored, authentic treasures nearby. What there is to see and do in the area... Photos: (Left to Right) Samples of fun things in the area... Hot air ballooning, hiking, table tennis, swimming, bonfire night. The above link shares more of our favorite activities and how to find them. |
